Mackenzie First to release their second album THE CHRONICLES. M1 is a Canadian Alternative Pop, (Post-Punk) band formed in 2001 by singer/songwriter Dave Black & guitarist songwriter Domenic Berardi in Montreal. Black & Berardi worked for a few years on the bands development and songwriting. THE CHRONICLES takes you through the band's evolution from hard rock'en songs like INABILITY to their first single of the album BETTER. produced by Tino izzo. THE CHRONICLES is the bands first real debut studio recording produced by veteran Canadian producer Tino Izzo. The band also had their hand in producing some of their more personal songs themselves on this album.

With songs like THINK, BETTER and LIFE ON CREDIT; Black and Berardi here touch on strong, some times controversial issues while staying on message.

Mackenzie First’s album THE CHRONICLES will be released in Canada on Tab Records/ Universal Music Group’s on April 17 2012. The band will be playing March 23rd at The Corona lin Montreal as part of the BUZZ .99 Low dough show featuring Twin Atlantic.
